Hello Colleagues,

It has come to my attention, by way of the on going stream of error reports
received, that a good number of individuals have had difficulty in signing
on to the Gene-Arrays Listserv. Furthermore there have been some request
regarding signing off the Listserv. What follows are instructions for both
situations. This a second post, as I suspect that the e-mail destination
did not appear for those using certain e-mail programs.

To sign-on:

1. Send a one line e-mail message to: listserv@listserv.ucsf.edu
2. The single line message should be: subscribe Gene-Arrays first name last
name
3. A Special Note: please remove any signatures in you're message, there
is evidence that the inclusion of signatures appears to hamper signup.

Assuming success, you will in turn receive a response from the Gene-Array
listserv, which will provide you practical information regarding the
listserv.

To sign- off the Listserv, please follow these instructions.

You may leave the list at any time by sending a "SIGNOFF GENE-ARRAYS"
Command to LISTSERV@ITSSRV1.UCSF.EDU

Note: This should be the only text in your message. Make sure to turn "off"
The signature function. E-mail "signatures" will inactivate automatic
messages to many list servers.
